Delivery Information
At Stevensons Home, we understand that choosing new furniture or those finishing touches for your home is an exciting experience. As a family-run business, we take great pride in the care and attention we give every order, from the moment you purchase to the day it arrives at your door.
Whether you're ordering a small home accessory or furnishing an entire room, we're here to make your delivery experience as straightforward and enjoyable as possible.
1. Home Accessories – Standard Delivery
For smaller home accessories, including candles, decorative items and selected lighting, we offer delivery by trusted parcel couriers.
Delivery charges:
-
Orders of £100 or more containing eligible home accessories – Free Standard Delivery
-
Orders under £100 – Delivery charges start from £5, depending on the size, weight and destination.
Free standard delivery applies to eligible accessories only and does not include furniture, oversized items or products requiring specialist delivery.
Delivery costs will be confirmed before you complete your purchase.
Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive confirmation and tracking information where available. Standard parcel deliveries are usually made within approximately two working days of dispatch, although this can vary depending on the courier and destination.
Please note that delivery times are calculated separately from any product availability or processing period.
2. Furniture Delivery – Local & Nationwide
We offer furniture delivery across mainland Great Britain, with charges depending on the size of your order and the distance from our Grimsby showroom.
Our furniture delivery charges
| Delivery Area |
Charge |

£40 |
| Extended local delivery – over 40 miles and up to 70 miles |

Delivery eligibility and charges depend on the delivery address, product type, access requirements and the service available in your area.
Where a delivery requires specialist handling, an unusually large vehicle or additional delivery personnel, any extra charge will be explained and agreed before your order is confirmed.
Areas Not Covered by Our Standard Nationwide Furniture Delivery
Our standard nationwide furniture delivery service covers mainland England, Wales and Scotland.
It excludes:
If you live outside our standard delivery area, please contact us before ordering. We would be happy to investigate alternative delivery arrangements where possible.
Smaller home accessories may still be available for courier delivery to these areas, subject to courier coverage and applicable shipping charges.
3. Our White Glove Furniture Delivery Service
We believe receiving new furniture should be something to look forward to.
Our Stevensons Home delivery team takes great care when delivering your furniture, treating your home and belongings with respect.
For eligible furniture deliveries carried out by our own team, our service includes:
-
Delivery to your chosen room, subject to safe and reasonable access.
-
Careful handling and positioning of your furniture.
-
Unpacking and removal of packaging materials.
-
Assembly of furniture where included and appropriate for the product.
-
An opportunity to check your furniture before our delivery team leaves.
For nationwide deliveries carried out by our trusted delivery partners, the services included may differ depending on your location and the type of furniture ordered.
We will explain the service included before confirming your delivery arrangements.
Unless specifically agreed, delivery does not include the removal of existing furniture, electrical or plumbing connections, wall mounting, or alterations to your property.
4. Arranging Your Furniture Delivery
Once your furniture is available and ready for delivery, our team or delivery partner will contact you to arrange a convenient date.
For deliveries carried out by our Stevensons team, we generally offer the following delivery windows:
Morning: 9am–12pm
Afternoon: 1pm–5pm
We will always try to accommodate individual delivery requirements wherever reasonably possible.
If requested, our own delivery team can provide an approximate 30-minute advance call.
Please note that arrival times are estimated and may be affected by traffic, weather conditions, previous deliveries or other unexpected circumstances.
For nationwide deliveries, available dates and delivery windows may differ depending on the delivery partner and location.
We kindly ask that someone aged 18 or over is available to accept the delivery.
5. Furniture Lead Times & Availability
Many of our furniture collections are ordered specifically for our customers, meaning lead times can vary depending on the manufacturer, design, fabric, finish and availability.
Where an item is not immediately available, we will explain the expected lead time before your order is confirmed.
Lead times provided by manufacturers are estimates unless a specific delivery deadline has been expressly agreed.
We will keep you informed of material changes affecting your order and arrange final delivery once your furniture becomes available.
If unexpected delays arise, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible to discuss the revised delivery arrangements and any options available.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must normally be delivered within 30 days unless a different delivery period has been agreed.
Where a longer delivery period has been agreed, your statutory rights relating to late delivery remain unaffected.
6. Preparing for Your Delivery
To help us deliver your new furniture safely and efficiently, we kindly ask that you check the dimensions of your chosen item and the available access to your property before placing your order.
Please consider:
-
Doorways, hallways and internal access.
-
Staircases, landings, lifts and tight corners.
-
Low ceilings, narrow entrances or restricted turning spaces.
-
Parking arrangements and access for our delivery vehicle.
-
Any steps, gates, gravel driveways or other access restrictions.
-
Sufficient space within the intended room.
Furniture dimensions can be found on our product pages or requested from our team.
If you are unsure whether an item will fit, please contact us before ordering. Our team will be happy to help you consider the measurements.
Important: It is the customer's responsibility to provide accurate information about known access restrictions and to ensure the property is reasonably prepared for delivery.
Our delivery team reserves the right to decline a particular handling or placement request where it cannot be completed safely or risks damage to the furniture, property or people involved.
Where possible, we will discuss an alternative arrangement.
7. Restricted Access & Unsuccessful Deliveries
Occasionally, delivery may not be possible because of restricted access, unsuitable parking, incorrect delivery information or nobody being available to receive the order.
Where an unsuccessful delivery is caused by circumstances within the customer's reasonable control, we may need to arrange another delivery appointment.
Reasonable additional charges may apply where a further delivery is required, provided these were clearly explained before purchase and reflect the additional costs incurred.
We will explain any applicable charges before arranging redelivery.
Where an unsuccessful delivery results from an error by Stevensons Home or our appointed delivery partner, we will arrange an appropriate resolution without charging you for our mistake.
Nothing in this section affects your statutory consumer rights.
8. Checking Your Furniture on Delivery
Every effort is made to ensure your furniture arrives in excellent condition.
For furniture deliveries, we encourage you to inspect your items when they arrive, where reasonably practical.
Please check for visible damage, missing parts or other concerns and let our delivery team know if anything does not appear right.
Where possible, any concerns will be recorded on the delivery paperwork and referred to our customer service team.
For courier deliveries, we recommend inspecting the packaging and contents as soon as reasonably possible after receipt.
If you discover an issue after delivery, please contact us so we can investigate and help put things right.
9. Damaged, Faulty or Incorrect Items
If your furniture or accessories arrive damaged, faulty or not as ordered, please contact our team as soon as reasonably possible.
We kindly ask that visible delivery damage is reported within 48 hours wherever possible, as this helps us investigate the circumstances promptly with our delivery team, supplier or courier.
Photographs of the item, packaging and any visible damage are particularly helpful.
However, the 48-hour period is a request to assist our investigation and is not a deadline for exercising your legal rights.
Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 remain unaffected, including your rights to appropriate remedies for faulty, damaged or misdescribed goods.
Where an issue is our responsibility, we will work with you to arrange an appropriate solution in accordance with your statutory rights.
10. Property Protection & Delivery Safety
Our delivery teams take reasonable care when moving furniture into your home.
We recommend clearing the delivery route of fragile objects, trip hazards and other obstructions before the team arrives.
Where necessary, we may ask you to move smaller items or make additional space so that furniture can be handled safely.
If you have particular concerns about delicate flooring, narrow access or recently decorated areas, please advise us before delivery.
Should any accidental damage to your property occur during a delivery, please notify our team promptly so the matter can be documented and investigated.
We do not exclude or restrict liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability arising from negligence where applicable.
11. Delivery Delays & Unexpected Circumstances
We always aim to deliver within the agreed delivery period.
However, occasionally delays may arise because of manufacturing issues, transport disruption, severe weather, supply chain difficulties or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
If we become aware of a material delay, we will make reasonable efforts to contact you and provide updated information.
We remain responsible for fulfilling our contractual delivery obligations, even where a manufacturer or delivery partner is involved.
If an agreed delivery deadline is missed, you may have rights to require delivery within an additional appropriate period or, in certain circumstances, to cancel the order and receive a refund.
Nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights relating to late or non-delivery.
12. Clearance & Ex-Display Furniture
Our clearance and ex-display furniture offers an opportunity to purchase selected pieces at reduced prices.
Unless otherwise stated, clearance and ex-display furniture is available for local delivery or collection.
If you require delivery outside our local service area, please contact our team before purchasing so we can confirm whether delivery is possible and provide the applicable charge.
Ex-display items may have minor cosmetic imperfections or signs of showroom use. Any known imperfections forming part of the sale will be described or brought to your attention before purchase.
Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 remain unaffected.
13. International Delivery
For selected products, international delivery may be available by prior arrangement.
Our currently advertised international delivery charges are:
-
Selected small accessories under £100 – from £50, subject to destination and courier availability.
-
Furniture and large items – quotation required before purchase.
Delivery costs, estimated timescales and any relevant customs arrangements will be confirmed before an international order is accepted.
Depending on the destination and agreed shipping terms, import duties, local taxes and customs clearance charges may be payable by the recipient. Where applicable, these will be clearly explained before purchase.
Please contact us before placing an international order to discuss availability.
14. Delivery Responsibility & Consumer Rights
Your order remains the responsibility of Stevensons Home until the goods come into the physical possession of you or a person you have identified to receive them, except in the limited circumstances where you independently arrange a carrier not offered by us.
We are responsible for resolving delivery problems in accordance with applicable consumer law, including where we use an external courier or delivery partner.
Delivery charges, service availability and arrangements will be confirmed before your order is finalised.
This delivery policy should be read alongside our Returns & Refunds Policy and Terms of Service.
Nothing in these delivery terms excludes or restricts your statutory consumer rights.
